I also enjoy the difficulty of these gauntlet-like battles you go through. It’s not the game’s fault entirely as I could be better at these types of games. I really do enjoy the idea of them, but Duma’s Tower was something I had to start over numerous times. Dungeons for me were a slog to get through. There were a number of times i had units in terrible positions or i would be unluckily critted, so Mila’s Turnwheel really helped correct those mistakes Mila’s Turnwheel is such a great mechanic in the game.I also loved that magic was based on HP as it adds an interesting risk/reward for using spells. There is no weapon triangle advantage, no durability (not entirely new), and weapons can be levelled up and promoted. I enjoyed the deviation from the standard gameplay mechanics from the series.Bangers like What Lies At The End and Twilight of the Gods are just some of the examples that really make the music shine The music is fantastic, it’s one of the soundtracks i really go back to listen to.I really was drawn into Valentia’s lore and plot throughout my time with game. I had only really played Fire Emblem Fates before this and thought that, at best, the story was okay. ![]() It really brings a great feel when you play and it gave me reason to come back to it because I loved appreciating all of these things The user interface, the character design aesthetics (and general artwork for that matter), the varied personalities of the characters, the voice acting everything was top notch. The presentation is the best we’ve seen yet from the franchise.I have some thoughts overall on the game: The fact that i had never beat it really bugged me so i dove back in and finally slayed Duma. I got this game a year ago and i’ve had a series of love and hate moments with it, which caused me to either play non-stop for a period of time or put it down for months.
